Primary School PE Specialist

Full time (35 hrs/wk)

16-month contract commencing April 2023

The Liverpool School Sport Partnership and St Gregory’s Catholic Primary School are seeking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic full time Primary PE Specialist to join our very successful team of professional coaches.

Requirements:

  • Level 2 National Governing Body Coaching Qualification or equivalent
    • Confident working with children aged 5 -11 years
    • Desire to become an outstanding PE Specialist

Continued training opportunities:

To continually update and develop our staff we offer access to additional training opportunities through our Professional Development programmes. Coaching staff are encouraged to improve and develop their skills in a variety of sports and activities.

We are particularly keen to recruit a multi-skilled PE Specialist to deliver high quality PE lessons in line with the National curriculum requirements and who can support the PE Lead with increasing PESSPA opportunities for all pupils. The role will also include some class-based time, supporting the class teacher as a teaching assistant.

The post is subject to satisfactory enhanced criminal records check from the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Salary: £20,493 Scale 4.19 (full time equivalent)        Contract: 16 months (term time only)
