Alder Hey – Healthy Weight Programme Press Release

 Happy Healthy Active Lives

North West Cancer Research and Liverpool School Sports Partnership are working together to deliver the   Happy Healthy Active Lives programme, to around 40 primary schools in Liverpool over the next year. This innovative programme comprises a number of creative and engaging sessions that give children the knowledge and insight needed to make healthy life choices and the confidence to adopt healthy behaviours and thrive throughout their lives.

Hands on experiments, enable children to get to grips with health in a fun way, helping them to explore the science behind the messages – rather than lecturing them which is ineffective. The partnership believes that the earlier we educate children about healthy choices, the more embedded it will become in their natural behaviours and will act as the perfect foundation for them to thrive, impacting on their long-term health.
