Developing resilience through Yoga – LSSP Yoga Programme
Our new instructor is a certified ‘Yoga Bears’ instructor . Her previous role was a HLTA in a West Lancashire Primary School, fully appreciating the educational environment.
Having considered many different yoga programmes we believe that the Yoga Bears curriculum can have a real impact in schools. Based on traditional yoga concepts and poses combined with mindfulness and breathing exercises, Yoga Bears helps to develop children’s self-confidence, self-esteem and self-respect for themselves and others. The delivery is extremely engaging, fun and inclusive and we feel that this is not only a fantastic opportunity to introduce a new activity to young people in your school (one of the key performance indicators of Sports Premium Funding) but is also proven to contribute positively towards young peoples mental and emotional well-being – something we know is a real priority in schools.
The costs will be:
6 weeks delivery for half a day (3 hrs) each week – £455
6 weeks delivery for a full day (7 hrs) each week – £910
Please note that morning delivery will consist of morning curriculum sessions and afternoon delivery will consist of afternoon curriculum sessions and a Yoga Bears After School Club. If you book a full day provision there will also be an opportunity to run some lunchtime provision for a targeted group of pupils on mindfulness.
“Pupil’s really enjoyed the training; it was great to see our pupil’s learning something new. I was really impressed with the equipment, to help
the children learn to balance in different games, 26 pupils out of 30 can now ride a balance bike confidently’.”
